About Us
Ella Walker Henderson founded Living Bread based on the need for further eating disorder resources in the Greenville community. Our goal is to fill a gap in treatment needs for those who financially do not have access to other services or those who desire a foundation of Christian faith for their treatment.
Living Bread received its 501(c)3 status with IRS as a non-profit in 2013. Our primary support for our financial assistance program comes from donors in the community. All donations are tax deductible.
Mission
The mission of Living Bread is to inspire hope in those who struggle with eating disorders and believe the lie that their bodies are unlovable. Living Bread strives to accomplish this mission through holistic treatment and prevention of eating disorders.
We serve women and men of all ages, including young girls and boys, who struggle with eating disorders. We focus on all types of eating disorders: Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Other Specified or Unspecified Feeding or Eating Disorders.
We offer our counseling services to those who would like help with other mental health needs as well. The services offered depend on the expertise of each therapist. However, our financial assistance program is not available to those without eating disorders.
